Jonsereds started as a small textile company in 1833 and through the years, they were able to produce various kinds of products other than fabrics. And during the company’s developing years, they were able to manufacture machines that could be used in the wood industry. And with their continuous advancements, this company decided to change its name into Jonsereds Fabriker. Production of chainsaws started in this company only during the 1950’s when a manufacturer of this product asked Jonsereds to create parts for the Como M&T BJerke chainsaws. Jonsereds agreed to make parts for the Comet chainsaws and in due time, this company decided to generate their own chainsaws. And, the name of the first chainsaw that this company created was the “Raket” until the year 1980’s.
